Windmills of the mind

Despite this rather cloudy shot, we've actually had a fair amount of sunshine today.  The vines are starting to get some lovely autumnal colours now, as this shot of a disused windmill at Lismousis shows.

We spent a large part of the day visiting the 4 chateau at Lastours: Cabaret, Surdespine, Quertinheux and Tour Regine.  I've uploaded a shot of two of the castles on the ridge, which was very nearly my main shot.  These ancient Cathar castles gave the 6 of us a good work out in the autumn sun.

On the way up the steep path to the first of the castles I spotted a praying mantis, which is my second extra, although Incredibish has managed to blip a shot of this fearsome looking creature first :-)
