Surprise rain this morning was welcome. It wasn't forecast. It put a sheen on the hedgerow plants.

I was outside, tidying my car, clearing out all the odds and ends that accumulate because it is going for its annual service on Friday. Then I put down the back seats and loaded up two card tables, ready for a Mah-Jong session I am tutoring tomorrow in Guildford. Before that I have my local WI tonight and I am giving a report there. So, lots to think about.
