On the Other Side of the Bird Lake

If you read our blips, you may know that we live at the edge of a city, but also at the edge of a nature reserve. This latter thing is great because we have so many nice areas to go walkies in, relatively close to home.

Today mum declared she had No inspiration. This usually means we go for my basic walkie, but in the end she scouted a geocache that we hadn't yet found, in an area we haven't been to a lot, and there was a picnic table there! So she prepared a picnic, and off we went.

We had a great, cattle-free walk in the sunshine, found the geocache in the ruins of an old building which was quite adventurous, climbed the bird observation tower and enjoyed our picnic. Perfect! Much more exciting than a basic walkie.
