Pegs
Lordy Lordy, so busy. Up to the old steading to look through stuff and then on up to Bruntsfield to get the pegs looked at. All good. I bet if I hadn’t had fillings put in when that was the fashion (filling the dentist’s pockets) I’d be like my Dad who never had one all his life.
Back to the boat to get the mains’il and boom off while the wind got up - supposed to be some immense hurricane on the way which of course came nowhere near. No excitement for us.
And then out to see old Denis with the books, the chequebooks, the payin books. By the 10pm we were both drunk on numbers, but the winter bills are out. If we all pay promptly we can get back the money we lent the club for the land. I think that’s how it works...
