York Town Hall

York is the oldest inland town in W.A, around 97km East of Perth, the area was first settled in 1831 two years after the European settlement of Perth in 1829, the Town Hall was completed in 1911, one of the oldest buildings in York.
A lovely day for a drive through the Avon valley today, the Town Hall always reminds us of the Michael J Fox movie "Back To The Future" when the lightening struck the town hall clock, we almost expect a De Lorean car to hurtle thought the air and transport us back to the future, the whole town is in a bit of a time warp, but every building is carefully maintained, gardens immaculate, and people very friendly, its always a treat to visit this town. We had a great day.
