Over The Top.....

Sometimes I lead an interesting life. Sometimes not..
Today was interesting as I was loaded into NuSuzz shortly after the sparrows had done their thing and we set off for Queenstown.
It was complicated…..
We parked in the airport carpark and I was transferred from NuSuzz to Das Auto (The Bossess’s VW) and after The Boss paid the nice (or nasty…depends on your viewpoint) machine we departed in it and drove 100 metres to its service outfit where I was unloaded and leaded into the reception area where The Boss was told to come back in 2 hours as you are really early and the first up….Right.
Then we walked to Queenstown. We went down The Frankton trail about 9 Km  in the sun and when we got there we turned around and came back about two thirds of the way to a Cafe which he had seen on the way there. There was a bike stand with 3 dogs tied to it. My heart sank but he ignored it and walked to the lake side view and tied me to a table. He ordered a date and cinnamon bun which came with whipped cream and an organic no sugar cola.  I was still tied to the table but a bloke next door was dropping crumbs on the ground for the birds…That was a bad moment and my lead got shortened….Sigh…
He didn’t enjoy the drink cos it fizzed something amazing…Something to do with a bloke called Steve or was it Stevia? Is Stevia a Bloke? AND the bun was stale so he gave it to me……OH bad dream…Apparently buns are bad for me. OH the whipped cream was OK.
BY now it was car drop + 4hours  and no call had arrived so he rang them instead and a terse conversation ensured. The Boss does not have many terse conversations so I noticed this one especially and apparently the number 2 was mentioned (2 hours that is) so we left and walked back to the airport carpark and Nu Suzz (you remember that bit) where he paid the above mentioned machine and we departed to the nearest supermarket car park. I was sure he would pop in and get me treats BUT we just sat in the car…It was in the shade and all the windows were open.
He went to sleep……Then his phone rang and it was the other end of the previous terse thingie and only 1.5 rather than 2. Winding up the windows but not all the way he left and said he would return later but I followed the action on the “Find The Boss” app on my P phone and found he walked to the service joint, got Das Auto and drove it to the airport park and then took it’s picture (this bits really weird as he knows what it looks like) and then left to walk back to me and then we left too and went home.
28706 steps…18 Km….Well over the top!!!

Pawscript....The pic is from the top of the Crown Range at 7.00 am and the extra was a window we passed on the walk. Check it out for spiders.
