Actually this is one of the higher points around here, a full 80 or so metres higher than home 11 miles away...

It seemed a suitable counterpoint to what is about to follow, as E and I embark on our second ever 'proper' holiday with just the two of us. The first was our honeymoon 25 years ago! That was to the Norwegian fjords.

We decided not to risk upsetting our memory of those fantastic two weeks by going back, so we're off to somewhere else with 'proper' hills and lakes - Switzerland!
