Blip Lies
1. He wasn’t yet 14 as he was born about two hours after the time this was taken.
2. He didn’t go to school.
After a valiant effort to get up and ready it became increasingly apparent that it was not a good idea. And we’ve now agreed with school that he may “work from home” for the rest of the week. Everyone is so thrilled with how well term has gone they don’t mind at all that half-term has arrived a little early.
So a lovely chilled day at home with him. Then presents and Chinese when Anna and Carl came home. Then I left them all watching football whilst I celebrated Jackson’s birthday with a PTA meeting at his school. It really did feel significant as it is still a refreshing change to be there for a positive reason. The meeting was interesting and joyously efficient (my favourite sort) and as the PTA is woefully understaffed I volunteered to be secretary. A couple of pieces of work and another volunteering opportunity came my way today so my time is filling up nicely.
The last couple of paragraphs weren’t a lie.
