The Vestal
I have been busy today, so I am afraid it is another moth trap offering.
This is The Vestal Rhodometra sacraria, another migrant species that occurs mainly in Southern England in varying numbers, with several hundred or more turning up in good years.
Sadly this one is especially plain, as many have a brown stripe, and some are even pink.
It flies at night and is attracted to light.
