Surprises

It's that time of year where people very kindly request assistance in planning surprises for my impending 8yr old.... she's never really had character stuff before so will be both very surprised and super pleased to have Harry Potter stuff!

It is, though, the only photo I took that's vaguely related to katie....

She had a good day at YYM, aside from a falling out with her duet buddy "but we fixed it quickly". She had a great clarinet lesson and came back quite excited with lots of new pieces and a few new technique pointers. She had to show me her new stuff when she got in, even though she was bushed!

After music we headed straight to her friends birthday party. She missed the first hour but had said she still wanted to go. She arrived in time to start watching the film, have tea and finish the film. She spent much of the time cuddling monkey. In the car, she cried because she said it was rubbish as she'd missed the best bit. I realised just how very tired she was then. She still insisted on playing her clarinet for me though!
