More Summer In Autumn

I'm working with an incredibly enthusiastic chap at the minute.  I get in at 7 and find that is early enough.  He gets in at 6.  And he doesn't default to the switch computer on and then get coffee (tea in my case) start to the day.

So I found myself at 5 past 7 trying to explain how we could change an Assembler macro to enable us to have individual development groups.

And I didn't get my tea until his phone rang an hour and a half later.

It's quite fun, working with someone again.  But can it wait until I've had my cup of tea?

If you read my Blip from the 21st September, you might remember that one of the lifts in my building was kaputt and we had to wait 3 weeks for them to repair it, well they finally repaired it last Thursday.

Sometime on Friday afternoon after I left, it broke down again.  That does seem to be a somewhat recurring theme, doesn't it? Let's hear your appreciation for yet another great job by a tradesman here.  Anyway, they came back today to fix it.  Not just one bloke, but 5.  And they brought Huge Power Tools.

Unfortunately the place where they had to work was just behind where I now sit.  I sat through 2 hours of it - where I couldn't speak to anyone on the telephone, I could hear the bloke opposite when he was talking to me, I couldn't concentrate at all.  After 2 hours of that I fled.

What's the betting that when I go back tomorrow, there will be a sign that says "Sorry, due to an accident with a Massive Power Tool, your lift will be out of order until the New Year.  Sorry about that.  And here's the bill."?
