Sand-blasting & Patina
Today we gave Mitikuye her final sandblasting to get rid of welds and other imperfections. It also open up the pores to receive the various acids for the different colors I've chosen.
Extras show the first acid bath (liver of sulfur), heating the various parts to paint or spray acid on, and the finished front and back of the piece prior to sealing. A looooong day in a toxic environment, but the end result is worth it. The blue is more turquoise in real life.
