Kindled rage

Since Friday last my kindle has been borked, trying to update itself but getting stuck in a loop somewhere. It was very frustrating and I was just at the denouement of a novel, which I haven't been able to access for days.
After trying everything that I could think of, I finally phoned the Amazon help-desk.
While I have a lot of political problems with the company, I will say that the help-desk people are, without fail, patient and helpful.
Kindle back in business :)
