The Passage of a Hurricane!

There was a high wind last night, evidenced by the blowing down of our Cupressus "tree" on the balcony. A certain lack of water in the pot was a contributary cause ! The photo is from the sun terrace and the autumn colours by the burn and the cloud over the Scarborough Crags.It all looks calm and pleasant so was there a hurricane last night?
