These are the rings I'm wearing today....with a bit of faffing in various bits of software to get them to have a nice pink final colour!
My band ring was bought in Jersey many years ago at a lovely tiny jeweller in St. Helier who had a safe full of stuff from the 60's and 70's which he'd bought but never actually sold....my ring is dated 1972!
The pearl ring is one of the rings I had re-modelled and it originally had 3 Tahitian pearls but it was very chunky and kept catching on everything so I had the other two pearls made into earrings.
I took this with my iPhone in the car having been to the gym this morning...well the pool actually. I got to wear the fabulous swimsuit the lovely Paula posted to me all the way from Canada from her home town from a shop called The Teeny Weeny Bikini Company.....but I didn't dare buy a bikini as those days are long gone!
I have been having a real long hard debate with myself about how I want to move on with my photography hobby...as I love taking photos but never really do much with them apart from post a few family or scenery shots on Facebook and of course my daily Blip here.....
It's not that I'm bored with doing that...far from it...I thoroughly enjoy having photography as a hobby and my hubby seems to have settled down again with regard to what he sees as my obsession....i.e. Blipfoto!
I just feel that I want a slightly different challenge....so....I'm thinking of switching to video for a while starting with our next trip to France which is soon.....I'm going to try the 4K video function on my wee Panasonic LX-15 as I had already decided not to take my GX8 with me on holiday...(in fact it's having a holiday of it's own in the US with my step daughter!)
If I can capture some nice stills from the video and manage to create a short 3-4 minute video story of our trip...then I might actually sell my GX8 and buy a nice 4K dedicated camcorder instead....
My step daughter is desperate for a GX8 and has asked already if I would consider selling my kit.....so I might be tempted.....I also want to perhaps look at changing my LX-15 for something with a slightly longer lens...70mm isn't really good enough zoom-wise for me so I may start looking at the other compacts in the Panasonic range...preferably one with the same sensor, 4K video and perhaps faster focusing....oh well food for thought!
