Last Rose of Summer

I think this could be the last rose in the garden for the summer , the others have died and been dead headed, haven't the heart to take this one off just yet.
Blipped it last night before heading up to the Badminton Club.

Too busy afterwards to blip - caught up with the football late on, watching with John and our son , considered it rude to switch on the computer and turn my back on them after he had come all the way here to visit.
So back blipping today while he is out in the rain with his two dogs.

Quite pleased with the results using the compact , not as good as the DSLR but not bad either. need to keep practising with it for landscape images.
