Scary Landing et al

After my wonderful adventure in Czech at Tomas and Marketa's Wedding it was time to come home today.  The newlyweds dropped me at the train station in Zabreh and headed off to a day of jobs before their honeymoon officially begins tomorrow.

And that began a day of craziness.....

The train to Prague was late (but very comfortable with free cappucino and the yummiest piece of plum crumble for the equivalent of 40p plus free wi-fi and a free bottle of water and all served to my seat!)
I couldn't find the right way out of Prague Station to catch the Airport Express so stress levels began to rise.
I found the extremely full Airport Express, put my ticket in the box and the driver closed the door on me, I mean actually on me!
I reached the airport to discover my plane to Frankfurt was delayed by an hour.
I sprinted across the entire terminal at Frankfurt to catch my connection to Manchester and hyper-ventilated at security.  The loveliest security man got my breathing under control and passed me through security himself.
My flight leaving for Manchester was delayed......so I didn't need to sprint across the terminal...
Once we were in the air the pilot announced that we may have to divert if the weather was poor at Manchester (don't want to know that right now thankyou)
As we descended through the turbulence to Manchester, the Napoli football team, who had been noisily entertaining throughout the flight, suddenly fell very quiet.....I breathed deeply......I peeped at the wing outside my window and breathed even deeper.....it was now eerily quiet on the plane.   When we touched down the plane erupted with cheering and clapping.
I sprinted through Manchester Airport to catch the extremely busy train to Leeds.....just outside Manchester Picadilly it hit a tree which had fallen on the line. Thankfully there was no injury to anyone or damage to the train but the driver was unsurprisingly shaken up.

Finally I arrived to see Tony's cheery face behind the barriers at the station and we had a lovely meal at Jamie's Italian with a very large glass of wine and a very big dish of ice cream and much talk about Czech Adventures!
