Fantastic News!

Gracie had her heart appointment at Birmingham's Childrens hospital today.

They had originally told us that they didn't think her duct valve would close and we needed to get her to 2 kg so that she could have keyhole surgery rather than need to be opened up. We were so worried as her her weight gain had been slow and she had only got to 1.91 kg so had resigned ourselves for the worst news thinking if they could delay a little longer that she would be able to have keyhole.

They did an ECG and Echo Scan and we went into see the consultant who gave us the most amazing news! Her little heart has sorted itself out naturally. The valve has closed and the murmur gone completely and she can come off her medication.

We were ecstatic to say least. Well done Gracie your a little fighter!
