Cook

We went on an open topped bus tour today so we could see the sights and get our bearings a bit better. One person who was quite good at getting his bearings was Captain James Cook, here we are told, not looking out to sea as he is instead facing the South Islands.

We had a lovely day today exploring Whitby, wandering down all the winding streets, looking in loads of interesting shops and having a walk along the pier. It was a lovely day and pretty warm and the place was busy. It seems to be a popular place for people to come for the day. Later we went for a 3-course dinner in the Marine washed down with a bottle of prosecco. Lovely.
