Blown away
We are not expecting Ophelia to cause much of a stir in these parts and it was quite a relief when we had the first gusts of wind this afternoon and they blew away the eerie dust haze that had hung in the sky all morning.
We did good work on the allotment this afternoon. The sweet peas are still doing well and we cropped red and white cabbage, blackberries and some potatoes that had grown from a tuber left over in what is now the strawberry bed. Completely free food.
Finished off by clearing 3 of the raised beds of weeds and now I have a catalogue to pore over with dreams of next year.
