RAF Castle Camps

The old wartime MT building at RAF Castle Camps has very recently been sold as 'A barn with planning permission for conversion to a 4 bedroom residence'. Well it was never a barn and any conversion will only be achieved by the total demolition and rebuild of the property.  That, of course is fine, there is a housing shortage and I'm sure that the house that will be built will go a long way to redress that shortage...

Personally, I find it a little sad that these lingering reminders of dark days of courage and sacrifice are disappearing... I've made notes in my diary to follow the progress of this 'conversion' each month for a year... an interesting project.

The extra is of a New Holland T8050 tractor and a Väderstad Rapid A 600 S seed drill that was working nearby...
