Funny sort of day

Misty and murky first thing.  Had to go for my "MOT" and blood tests with the "Chronic Diseases Practice Nurse" (makes me sound like an old crock!!),  so texted daughter L to see if she wanted to meet for chat and coffee at a nearby cafe.  Home again and tried to do some garden tidying as garden bin day tomorrow - doesn't look much better, but bin now full!  Sun finally appeared, but it was a weird light.  The only apple left on the tree seemed to be floating in mid air!  Lots more to do, but choir tonight, and got to get a grip of those alto lines!  Update - apparently the orange/red sun was caused by hurricane Ophelia picking up desert sand, and air from the tragic forest fires in Spain and Portugal!
