Mote Park Model Engineering Club
Tried Pork and Mash Gratin recipe from the current Jamie Oliver TV series today. It certainly was quick to do once I’d scrubbed all the little spuds from the allotment that I’m not storing.
A little concerned that the pork would cook through in the short time given but it looked fine in the end. The cheesy mash was very tasty.
Given that there are only 5 ingredients, the recipe lacked what you might call essentials; there was no gravy or vegetables so that added on extra time.
In other news today we finished painting the remaining little areas of Susan’s studio. Ordering the internal furniture tomorrow. I cleared out most of the tomatoes from the greenhouse and watched an epic struggle between a bee and a spider. The bee got away.
We found time for a walk around Mote Park, calling in at the Model Railway for today’s blip. Always one to be found there. Must be one of their last operating days of the season.
In the South East we seem to be escaping any effects of Storm Ophelia. I hope all blippers remain safe if you’re affected. I can clearly remember the storm of 1987 which hit Kent severely. That was savage. I hope Ophelia is not as destructive as that was.
