An Orchid By Another Name

This was the brightest thing I saw today. The weather here in Brisbane is really British, another grey day with rain on and off and (how rare for Queensland) NO SUN! A month's rain fell in the past 48 hours here in the city (60mm), much more in some areas. It's really welcome here though.

Orchid trees (Bauhinia) are in bloom now, flowers even springing directly out of their trunks.
