Red, Amber, Green
SUNDAY
Another unseasonably warm day for mid October thanks to the effects of the approaching Hurricane Ophelia.
After a 10 km run on the treadmill we headed over to Leeds for a visit to Golden Acre Park and the adjacent Adel Dam reserve (Yorkshire Wildlife Trust).
It must be over 50 years since I last visited the Park (as a child with my parents) and it was our first visit to the reserve. We were not disappointed.
Nuthatches, a grey heron, chaffinches, greater spotted woodpeckers, various tits and a wide range of ducks. Paradise slices and Yorkshire Tea. 20 degrees C, blue skies and sunshine.
A great afternoon out.
