Hugh phoned up Greyhound again this morning to give a description of the camera, where he left it etc and they said theyd get back in touch after 4pm. They were a bit more helpful than yesterday but still frustrating for us as we are travelling and going to lots of different places so would need to know asap the situation before moving on to the next place. Thankfully they gave Hugh a call back to say nothing had been handed in but was still on the bus and it would be a $25 handling fee to get it back (which is rediculous as they are buses are making the journey to where we are anyway!) But still even though we won't get it back straight away we are glad its safe and sound and will get it back somepoint soon, so we were relieved at that.
We were going to go by the beach but the weather wasn't too good so we decided to look about the shops in town and Hugh got his haircut.
At 6pm we had to go to a safety briefing at another hostel for our 3day Fraser island tour tomorrow. It was an interesting video that scared the living daylights out of me. Warning us never to swim in the sea as there are sharks and jellyfish in the water, Don't go walking about on the beach yourself as Dingos can be about and could attack you if you are on your own or if you run away, also about driving on the sand that if you sweve about too much your car could topple over. So a jolly briefing but I guess it is just more remote and lots more things to keep safe. Looking forward to Fraser Island tomorrow
