Fungi hunting

Today V, Jax and I went fungi hunting with the camera in Crab Walk. In an ambling sort of way.  We found a lot, this species being the most obvious.  Looking in my old Observer's Book of Mushrooms & Toadstools I think I have identified this as clitocybe geotropa, "a larger and more fleshy edition of the Common Funnel Cap.  It is edible and well liked by some people."  Am I going to try it?  am I, heck!
