I only recently found out that all new commercial properties and shared dwellings require a concrete stairwell, completely encased from the rest of the building, to be included in the design. This blip shows the perfect example.

I'd say this is real progress - in the event of a fire you have a fireproof exit to allow you to escape from a building.
