Pizza night
Pizza al funghi topped with last week's hen-of-the-woods (maitake) mushroom killed the conversation for a while.
Culinary note: make your dough and sauce in the usual way, and when the pizza is ready to go in the oven, scatter over a suitable quantity of roughly shredded 'hen' tossed in olive oil, salt and pepper before baking at a high heat. It's clucking good!
