A Drip Blip

It's been raining. I know this must sound pathetic in those parts of the world where rain is plentiful to the point of irritation but in this country we can experience very long periods without significant rainfall. When dry times coincide with the coming of summer, this can mean disastrous bush fires with the widespread loss of lives and property.

According to Norma (who keeps an eye on such matters) this is the most rain (a paltry 10 mms) that we (in Blackheath) have had in any given period of 48 hours since March. The conditions are cool and everything in our garden looks moist and happy right now. Let's hope there is more to come.
