A fine birthday

for H’s birthday today… we took our usual morning walk, then Fiona’s 7 yo soccer game (almost blipped the extra,  no one can say this family isn’t  supportive—-everyone but the cousins’ Mom showed up at Fi's  game!   Afterward she told son #2 , a former soccer goalie who loves to watch his niece.. “in my head… I don’t want to lose”.   this is the kid who recently vowed not to do any team sports,, but now will do this season because she  promised her friend.)  Then we took Maple our granddog for an hour walk/run in the off leash dog park, while H talked with his brother on the phone, then home for a wee breather and then Oskar’s football game!   H was happy to see his whole family today and THEN, the 2 of us went to dinner at our favorite seafood restaurant in Seattle at fisherman;’s terminal (we were having fish withdrawal after Scotland) to complete the very fine day.  It helps spending so much time outdoors as it was a very nice chilly fall day!

So the blip is the love of my life —we’ve celebrated 54 birthdays together.. with a favorite splurge- kumamoto oysters.  We are blessed.
