The Merlion

Our last day here, and we made the most of it.  We walked down to the harbour front to see the Merlion, and then caught the MRT to Orchard as I wanted to go and see some of the old Peranaken houses on Emerald Hill.

As we were close to the Indian restaurant we went to the other night we decided to go back for lunch, and the waiters were pleased to see us. AJ, our waiter from the other night said it was his birthday today and gave us a complimentary dessert.

We nipped to the Hard Rock Cafe to get another glass and then back to the hotel to finish packing and have a shower.

Our driver picked us up at 6pm to take us to the airport, and I managed to sneak into the Emirates Lounge with Alan as no-one was on the desk :-)

Alan gave me his business class seat for the flight to Dubai, where we are now waiting to board out flight to London - this time I’m in Economy, but I don’t mind, it’s been nice to have the experience.

Anyway I’d better dash, they’ve just called us.
