Women of Portugal

The Praça da Figueira ("Square of the Fig Tree") is one of the largest squares in central Lisbon. As we were walking back to the hotel to pick up our luggage and head to the airport we chanced upon this procession which was part of an event to celebrate Portugal's craftsmanship, as well as the country's food products and folkloric traditions. The colours were so vibrant that they probably didn't need boosting by my polariser filter!
