Rugby in Cambridge
As it is now half term Thomas did not have a rugby match today, so we decided to go up to Cambridge to visit Adam and to watch his inter-college match. This is the first time we have watched one of his matches and it was great fun! His college won and he was on top form, scoring two tries.
He is lucky as his college has wonderful large grounds, 42 acres of parkland which allows them to play matches on their campus site which is very convenient. Other colleges have to use facilities away from their college. The pitch was in excellent condition as were the gardens, with many lovely trees showing autumn colours. After the match we went to his room and I did the usual mum trick of tidying up and packing away his (thankfully) freshly laundered washing. We relaxed for a bit in his room and then he had to go sharpen his skis for training on Monday night, after which we went in to town for supper where we had an excellent sushi meal.
It was a long day and we have just got home but it was lovely to see Adam again.
