Forest Path

This mature Douglas fir plantation, owned by the Council, was due for felling, but the local people protested. For decades they had ignored the Keep Out signs. Their feet had formed pleasant walking tracks. Seats had been installed at suitable places. Eventually the Council relented. The tracks were consolidated for wheelchairs, a separate cycle track was added, and a modern toilet built.
