Backwoods cooking
Making use of the lovely evening, we had a backwoods dinner. Basically, you cook over an open fire with no utensils, but with heaps of aluminium foil. We are doing something similar at scouts in a few weeks, and I wanted to try it out in the sanity of my own garden first.
Three of us, that's young Mr A, his pal and I, made 5 items for each of our guests. Apart losing track of the time at one point and incinerating some of the garlic bread, it worked well.
We each had stew, sweet corn, stuffed tomato, a bacon & potato creation and garlic bread. Yum!
I have environmental angst about the foil, though.
