Steam Up at Englefield.

Twice a year at Englefield there is a weekend open to the public with lots of old steam engines, many used on the estate in years gone by. It was a good afternoon, with plenty to see and lots of working engines. There is something quite magical about the smell of the burning coal and the well oiled machinery combined with the sounds. Clearly I am still a big kid at heart when it comes to steam machines!
