Butterflies in the orchard

Fallen pears are attracting butterflies in the orchard at Dancersend Nature Reserve. I watched six red admirals and two commas over-indulging on the rotting fruit today. Here a red admiral takes a break from the party by hanging out on one of the electric fence posts.
