The problem or beauty (I've yet to decide which) of Glasgow is that the wonderful richness of its architecture is dotted around. There is not one long street like you get, say, Grainger Street in Newcastle where the buildings are planned and designed to give one long grand picture. This makes it less noticeable than that of other great cities, but well worth looking up for - if it's not raining.
