Can you see me now?

A terrible day here in Cumbria, but the rain whilst constant wasn't as heavy as forecast.
I managed to hobble (I've mastered a sort of one foot & crutches walk for when I'm tired or sore) round to the neighbours and had coffee in their new garden room, the squirrels come and eat from the window sill, mere inches away, so probably more reds to come whilst I recuperate. But today you get this fellow who we thought was trying to be invisible.

In thinking of a Philosophy Friday that would be apt for my current condition my mind went to Grace Hoppers "a ship in the port is safe, but that's not what ships are for", I feel miserably ristricted. But I'm also a realist and a rationalist and I know that time lost now will hopefully buy me time later, so I've settled on:

One doesn't discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time.
