A day off

Had a sort of day off today. The chief was working ( 2 doctors sick so an extra surgery ) so I was on my tod.
I did some email , had a haircut , then wandered into town. I did a bit of gentle shopping then pottered in Waterstones and HMV. It's good to see that HMV survives , especially in these days of streaming and digital downloads , but I do wonder if it will still be alive and kicking in 5 years time. On one wall of the shop was a bunch of posters I've never seen before for live music events around town. Looks like there is no shortage of entertainment in the Granite City if you are prepared to go out and find it.
