Mr C drove me to Newcastle to wait in the eye clinic, while he went to the Freeman for a hearing test. The joys of being over 70.

Happily my eye is healing well but I can't wear my contact lens for a while which is awkward as I am minus 14 in that eye. Mr C's hearing loss is "borderline" for needing help so he's decided he prefers to have us all shout at him repeatedly than get a hearing aid.
