Search and rescue

The visit began with a search for my mom's raincoat and her brown walking shoes. At one point we were a ragtag band of one caregiver, me, my mom, and another resident, all walking the corridors, checking in the rooms of the "shoppers." The coat turned up (another resident came walking down the hall with it) but the walking shoes did not. I believe they were actually on someone's feet. I didn't want to get close enough to examine them, but I have my suspicions.

Then, the rescue. We went to the park to have a meetup with Taffy, LS's sister, and her humans. I was throwing the ball to LS, and after a few vigorous ball chases he stopped and held his foot in the air. He couldn't walk on it! So Taffy's male person and I shared the duty of carrying LS back to the car. Good thing I drove to the trail head. That would have been a long walk back to Silverado. LS is still limping. We'll see how he is tomorrow and decide about a trip to the vet.
