Greyfriars at Dusk

Pootled about slightly aimlessly trying to achieve my 10,000 steps this afternoon.  I passed Greyfriars Kirk on my way to the library and I liked the glow of the lamp against the grey sky.  I find it an atmospheric and foreboding place despite the tourists wandering about and the now ridiculous heap of sticks piled in front of the (entirely fake) dog's grave.  Don't get me started on the mawkish Greyfriars Bobby story and the new-fangled nonsense of rubbing the statue's nose for luck.
