Hitching a ride

Is this Woodstork looking for a ride or a handout? During my morning walk in my neighborhood, I came across a wood stork sitting on my neighbors truck. In addition to this bird, there was another stork on the roof along with two egrets and a Heron . My best guess is my neighbor came back from a fishing trip and they were looking for a handout!
