What was once a fine feather!
Although I retired from teaching a few years ago I still follow the school tradition of having a week's holiday in October .... so L and I are back in Elie for some bracing walks and rubbish games of golf!
The beach closely resembled the Sahara Desert this afternoon .... no people, no footprints just dunes of wind blown sand held fast by the marram grass.
I'm always on the lookout for something different to blip .... today I decided to try and photograph the feather which was partly buried in the soft sand. Unfortunately there was no passing hand to help me up from my prostrate position!
