Walk on the Wild Side

The damp, dull weather did not inspire me to do much today, so I headed over to the Devil's Punch Bowl near Hindhead for lunch, and then struck out for a walk.  For a change I headed along the west side of the punch bowl along the 2.8 mile Highcombe Hike. The route takes you down to the bottom of the valley, which I was a little reluctant to take (what goes down has to go up again), but the lure of some interesting looking fungii was too great! 

My finds included my first Fly Alaric of the season, even if it was only a baby (extra), but I have chosen this moss for my blip of the day.
