VIEUW FROM THE PLAZA

of the Elbphilharmony.
An adventurous day. Our firends took us to the St.MIchelskirche, the old baroque church, firstly we vitited the crypt, then the inside of the church, overwhelmingly beautiful.
Then we walked to the Elbe, decided we were hungry and took the U Bahn to the Rathaus, had a nice lunch, went to visit the Rathaus and the basement. This part of Hamburg was familiar to us, from earlier visits to buy books in this amazing town.
Then we took the U Bahn back to the river, bordered a ferry, and had a wonderful views, the shores, with at one side the villas, the other side the harbour with the docks. So many different ships sailing or lying quietly at the quays, and then there was the Elbphilharmonic building, magnificent! We got tickets for the Plaza, high up, and walked around the building, with 360 grade views. Astonishing event.
Down again, we walked in the Hafen City, all newly build blocks, and finally we took a bus and the train back to Pinneberg.
A fantastic day, the weather not really pretty, but that did not bother us!
Tomorrow we will go to Bremen by train, and another adventure starts there.
