Feeding The Fish

Our daughter volunteer's each week at the Aquarium of the Pacific, the fourth largest aquarium in the United States, in the water quality testing laboratory. She gets to go behind all the exhibits and collect water samples for testing every Friday during her shift. She is also able to take selected friends and family on a special behind the scenes tour that includes a trip to the top of the large display tank to feed the fish. Such was the case today, when we spent a very enjoyable hour and half learning about Kelsey's daily tasks from her immediate supervisor Karen (middle person in today's photo) and who gave us instruction in the correct way to feed the hundreds of fish in 142,000-gallon, three-story Honda Blue Cavern tank, above which we are standing. Kelsey and Karen are pretty jaded to the sites of this impressive facility, but it is very cool to those of us who don't experience it every day.
