George's horse

As I think you know, our house faces straight down a valley and just at the moment we are enjoying the kind of weather that is conducive to sitting on the terrace sharing a beer after the work of the day is finished and before the feeding of the animals and the cooking of the dinner. Today, George the linesman, who's parents have a place over the other side of the ridge behind us, brought his horse round to graze on the side of the valley beside us. The owner does nothing to maintain her land so we are glad somebody is making some use of it. Nice to have a horse to look at while sipping a beer! :-)
